Claudia has a Masters of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi with additional certification in Supervision and Mid Management from the University of Houston in Victoria. Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education was earned at Southwest Texas State University. Claudia retired from the Beeville Independent School District where she ended her 31 years of public education as a high school assistant principal. She returned two years ago to St. Philip’s after serving as Headmistress from 1995 — 2000.

Carol Reagan, Incoming Head of School

We are excited to announce the arrival of our new of Head of School, Mrs. Carol Reagan.  Mrs. Reagan comes to us from Sinton Independent School District where she recently retired after 28 years of service as a teacher, administrator, and Director of Reading and Federal and Special Programs.  Mrs. Reagan has earned a Masters Degree in Mid-Management from Texas A&M University Kingsville, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis in Reading, an Early Childhood endorsement, and a certification as a Master Reading Teacher from Corpus Christi State University.  Mrs. Reagan will begin on May 1st, working alongside Mrs. Nelson for the end of the year transition.  As we are excited about the gifts and abilities that Mrs. Reagan brings to the table, we not only look forward to the coming year, but we invite you to come by to meet her so that you too might share our joy at her arrival.

Desiree Huser — Kindergarten Teacher & Daycare Director

Desiree began her St. Philip’s days as a sub and fourth grade teacher and now is happily teaching our kindergartners. She has an Associate of Applied Science Degree and has been the owner and director of childcare programs. She and her husband, Doug, have a son, Ty, a Skidmore senior.

Melinda Leal — First Grade Teacher

Melinda came to the school as a retired elementary teacher and consultant from Beeville ISD. She will be returning for her second year at St. Philip’s. Melinda and her husband, Johnny, have 2 children, each of which were alumni, as was Melinda! Their 2 grandchildren are the delight of their lives.

 

Sue Miller — Pre-Kinder

Sue began her teaching career at the Presbyterian Play School and taught there four years before coming to St. Philip’s. She has recently completed her certification in daycare management. This is her 29th year to teach young children at St. Philip’s. She is married to John Miller and they reside in Beeville. They have four children, Scott, Mark, David and Emily and four grandchildren. Mark and Emily are St. Philip’s alumni.

 

Kathryn Hrncir — Preschool 2

Katie comes to us from Texas A&M where she majored in Health Promotion with a minor in general business and a major in early childhood education. This will be her first year of teaching at St. Philip’s Episcopal School. Katie is married to A.C. Jones High School Coach, Stephen Hrncir. They have a nine-month-old son, Mathew. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, and watching sporting events.

We welcome Mrs. Katie Hrncir to St. Philip’s Episcopal School.

 

Elly May Munoz — Extended Care Teacher and Lunchroom

Elly May has been with Extended Care for eight years and will also be returning to prepare those delicious meals in our lunchroom. She Loves working at St. Philip’s and enjoys being with the children. Elly May and her husband, Michael, have three daughters, Sadie, Isis, Raven and a son, Michael Jr., and one grandson.

 

Jackie Posada — Extended Care Teacher

Jackie began her 14th year at St. Philip’s in September. She has several years experience working with children and has attended numerous workshops. Jackie and her husband, Jaime, have two children, Jennifer and Jesse and a grandson, Mason.

Martha Puerto — Pre-Kinder

Martha came to our school with 10 years teaching experience. She is a native of Beeville with two grown children, a granddaughter and a grandson. Martha is looking forward to teaching pre-kinder for the second year. She has been teaching at St. Philip’s for 3 years.

 

Christina Steelesmith — Business Manager

Christina, a native of Frankfurt, Germany, is welcomed to our school for her first year as business manager. She and her husband, Michael, have 2 children at St. Philip’s. Sara, enrolled for her second year, will be in Pre-K 2 and Nicholas, a three-year-old is enrolled in Preschool 1.
